Our Company
After leaving school I started as an apprentice for a London based company in 1988 and went to Willesden College of Technology where I spent 5 years studying Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and obtained Level 1, 2 and 3 City and Guilds.
My work whilst in London consisted of installing and maintaining air conditioning in buildings right across the capital, ranging from High street shops to high profile buildings such as Customs and Excise and Somerset House, I was also responsible for maintenance of King Fahd’s London residence.
I came to the Costa Blanca, Spain in March 2003 to start a new life with my family and with my extensive experience and background the obvious choice was to stay true to what I know and continue working within the trade and have never looked back since arriving.

How it works…
Cooling mode:
A special liquid called a refrigerant, which is sealed within the system, absorbs excess room heat. As the refrigerant absorbs heat from the room it changes into a gas and passes through small, copper tubes to an outdoor unit where the heat is released, into the atmosphere.
The gas then changes back into a cold liquid, returning to the indoor unit where the air is fanned over it and out into the room. This cycle is automatically repeated to maintain the required room temperature
Heating mode:
Heat pump systems also allow the above cycles to be reversed. A heat pump extracts "free" heat from the outdoor air, even on the coldest days when the temperature may fall as low as -10 degrees Celsius and transfers the heat indoors. Heat pump units therefore avoid the need for a boiler and allow you to cool and heat with the same unit, with savings in costs and energy throughout the year.
System Types

Split Air Conditioning
This is the most familiar form of installed air conditioning. They are called ‘split systems’ because they comprise of an indoor unit (mounted to a wall, ceiling or floor), which re-circulates the air in the room, either cooling or heating to your requirements.
The indoor unit is linked to an outdoor unit (condenser), by a pair of small diameter copper pipes contained in an insulating jacket. The heat removed from the room is dissipated to the atmosphere by the outdoor condenser.
When heat is required, the system will run in reverse, taking heat from the outdoor condenser and transferring it to the indoor unit.
Multi Split Air Conditioning
This operates in much the same way as the 'split' system. The 'Multi-split' system enables a number of indoor units to be individually controlled from a single outdoor condenser.
* Up to four units can be operated in cooling only or heat only form.
* 'Multi-split' systems offer an ideal way to treat a number of areas whilst minimising the space required for outdoor units.
A Ducted System
An Outdoor Unit, to which is connected one Indoor Unit located in the ceiling space taking the air to all the rooms using usually ceiling or pelmet outlets, plus a "return air" grill and filter, hence they are called a ducted system.
Inverter Systems
The inverter technology is integrated in the outdoor unit. The inverter technology can be compared to the technology in a car: " The harder you push your accelerator, the faster you go."
An inverter unit will gradually increase its capacity based on the capacity needed in the room to cool down or heat up the room. The non-inverter can be compared with switching on or off a lamp. Switching on this type of unit will start to run on full load.
Advantages of the inverter technology:

* The start-up time is reduced by 1/3
* You save a lot of energy and also money : 30% less power consumption
* Avoids cycling of the compressor meaning that there are no voltage peaks
* The energy consumption cost is reduced by 1/3 (compared to normal on/off units)

Health Benefits
More and more health concerned people pay attention to indoor air quality. You may experience health effects from indoor air pollutant soon after exposure or possibly even years later. Air conditioning is able to prevent or reduce some of the health effects.
The way houses and buildings are constructed to conserve energy has reduced the natural ventilation of fresh air, which, in the worst case, results in sick building syndrome. When you stop ventilation of the house, you'll reduce the energy required to heat and cool the house. But this means also that humidity levels are maintained within the house by re-circulating the same air and pollutants day after day. Dust, smoke, bacteria, viruses, mould, fungus, mildew and gasses circulate through the house.
The dust comes from the skin, hair, clothes or just comes off shoes when we walk in and out. The mildew, fungus and moulds can come in along with the dust. Gasses can be caused by dyes, paints, varnishes and adhesives.
And, humidity of at least 50 % greatly reduces the survival rate of the influenza virus.
Solutions to lower the concentration of indoor air pollutants are ventilation, filters and humidity control. Air conditioning offers these solutions. Every air conditioning unit has a filter. The type of filter depends on the type of system.
